Bridget M. Whaley, O.D.

Dr. Whaley feels blessed to be part of a profession that allows her to make a real difference in people’s lives— giving patients independence and freedom to live their lives to the fullest. “I have fit patients, who have previously been visually impaired from corneal disease, in specialty contact lenses. Oftentimes, these lenses can give people the ability to perform tasks they thought would never be possible again.”

Before joining Jervey Eye Group, Dr. Whaley practiced full scope optometry in children and adults with glasses and contact lens correction. She is adept at diagnosing and treating ocular conditions including cataracts, retinal degenerations, and glaucoma. After graduating from optometry school, Dr. Whaley did a Primary Care residency at RHJ VAMC in Charleston, SC with emphasis on ocular disease, low vision, and scleral lenses.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Dr. Whaley enjoys the outdoors and exploring the Upstate’s mountains and hiking trails. She and her husband are big foodies, and also love Greenville’s restaurant scene. Other interests include reading, binging watching true crime shows, baking, and playing with their dogs, Penny and Bella.
